"We finally had our day.. third time lucky at the lovely Coniston Hotel near Skipton. The sun shone all day which was perfect as it meant we could get married outside with the hotel lake as our backdrop. Everyone commented on how ‘me’ my dress was. When we talk about coming to the shop to pick my dress over 2 years ago it was such a special day and when I put this one on I knew it was the one! A few tears were shed that day, and a few more when I finally got to wear it walking down the aisle! My maid of honour got the task of doing up the lace at the back, and after one lesson and one the first attempt on the day… I think she did a great job! We couldn’t have a disco or DJ as originally planned due to the restrictions in place but that didn’t stop us having a good time, we played Bingo, everyone got involved and had the best time, prizes were won and there were plenty of laughs. We still had our first dance out in the courtyard with all our friends and family around us singing along and laughing.. the groom picked our first dance song… Sweet Caroline! I can’t thank you all enough at the bridal collection for making choosing my dress so easy and stress free. I wish I could wear the dress again and again as I loved it so much. When I asked Pete after the wedding what sort of dress he thought I would pick his words were “not like that, but I’m glad you picked that one” if anyone ever asks my advice on wedding dresses I’ll be sure to send them your way!
